Neighborhood Faith In Action

An Evening with Joan Wynne

Join NFA friends on Tuesday, August 18th at 7:00 PM for a Zoom evening with Joan Wynne. In her book of essays, “Reckoning with Our Roots: Unearthing Injustice to Find Our Way Home”, Joan offers a unique perspective on the complexities of white identity, power and privilege in the United States. Her roots as a white woman living in racist communities in the Deep South inform her work as an activist and educator. Joan worked with civil rights icon Bob Moses and others on initiatives such as the Algebra Project and the Young People’s Project. She offers a valuable perspective to anyone seeking to address the challenges facing schools and communities in the United States today.
