Nurturing and Caregiving

Our Nurturing and Caregiving Ministries are a few of the many ways we support one another.  Do you like to cook a meal for someone who is ill? Do you enjoy saying ‘hello’ to a Visitor of our church? Are listening and compassion a gift of yours you long to share? These ministries are here for you to give to and receive from.

  • Greeters – Communicate God’s invitation and the Church’s invitation to guests and newcomers by greeting our members and visitors on Sunday mornings.
  • Stephen Ministers – Lay persons who have completed a formal training program which prepares them to listen to and comfort fellow Christians in times of need. To find out how to receive care from a Stephen Minister, please call the office at 770-455-6523 and leave a confidential voice mail for Fr. Dick. For more information on Stephen Ministries, click here.
  • Chicken Soup Ministry – Following our mission statement, Following Christ as we welcome, nurture, love and feed all God’s children, our Chicken Soup Ministry is St. Patrick’s way of ministering to our own congregation. It is delicious, home cooked and then frozen gift that is always ready when needed. (A quart of soup and two casseroles for 2 people). Perhaps you have experienced the power of this beautiful ministry when you were sick? Let’s share this gift freely and often.
