Meet Trey Phillips, Our New Seminarian!
Hello Saint Patrick’s!
My name is Trey Phillips. I am delighted to say that I will be serving as your (Seminarian, intern, whatever title you wish to give me) this upcoming school year starting on August 19 and ending in early May. I am a second year M.Div student at Candler School of Theology at Emory University. I am pursuing a concentration in theology and ethics but my academic interests also extend into the realm of international development and theological education. In my free time I love to read, play sports, and go to the movies. Some of my hopes this upcoming year include forming relationships with you all as a part of the St. Patrick’s community, developing a stronger sense of my pastoral identity, and contributing my talents into the St. Patrick’s expression of the body of Christ. I am accompanied by my wife, Annie Phillips. She is a first-grade teacher at Glennwood Elementary located in Decatur, GA. We have been married over a year now and love this crazy journey called marriage! Ever since we first visited St. Patrick’s, my wife and I have loved the sense of community and the missional/outreach mindset that is displayed in this church. I look forward to jumping in with what God is already doing in your midst! Finally, we want to thank you for welcoming us and we look forward to getting to know you and what God has in store for this upcoming year!
