Lenten Program for Children
March 14, 21, 28 and April 11
Have you ever enjoyed a night around the campfire, singing songs and telling the grand stories of days gone by, maybe stories that helped make you who you are today? If so, you have had a glimpse at the joy and excitement of the beginning of the Easter Vigil. It is our time to gather around the fire and tell some of our very best tales from the journeys of the mothers and fathers of our faith.
This year in Lent on Thursday nights at 5:30, come and join an all-ages adventure as we explore some of these stories in fresh ways, with a hands-on, interactive presentation from the Bible and then a time to respond with our own creations (in art, craft, or even LEGOs!) to represent what the story means to us. Stay for dinner at 6:15! And then at 7:00, children and youth are invited to recreate the story of The Flood and make a video to be shared with the parish at the Easter Vigil! Participants will plan, build, film and edit their version of this formative story. You won’t want to miss it! We are in need of some additional adult participants for this endeavor. If you can assist for one or more Thursday nights from 7:00-8:00, please contact Kelli Jones.
